Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
– Revelation 16:15
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
This verse tells us the Lord’s return is a secret descent. He comes as a thief, quietly and secretly. No one knows of it, and no one can recognize Him even if man sees Him. Maybe someone wonders, “When the Lord comes, we cannot see Him and cannot recognize Him even if we see Him. How do we watch for and welcome Him?” Actually, Jesus Christ has already shown us the way to welcome Him. He said, “My sheep hear my voice” (John 10:27), “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him” (Matthew25:6), “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20). It can be seen that when Jesus comes again, He knocks at the door through the speaking of words and seeks His sheep, that is, when He descends in secret, only those who watch for the Lord’s return and listen tocan welcome the Lord’s appearance. So, during the period of the last days, we should be wise virgins. When we hear someone yell, “Behold, the Bridegroom comes,” that is when we hear someone testifying that the Lord has already returned to speak, we should seek and investigate. We can accept and follow the Lord when we hear His utterances and confirm that His word is the truth and is . Only such people are ones who truly watch for the Lord’s return and are raptured before God’s throne and attend the feast of the Lamb before the disasters, and are the most blessed. Dear brothers and sisters, have you heard God’s voice? Have you welcomed the Lord’s appearance?
